BACKGROUND

LOCUS is a spatial investigation and collaboration tool that helps to answer the rising demand for trained Crime Scene Investigators.

CSIs with specific skills, such as bloodstain pattern analysis are increasingly needed, whereas we face an expert shortage and a required years-long education.

Crime scene investigators use a variety of tools to capture and document crime scenes and potential evidence. Creating coherent evidence documentation is crucial for reconstructing the course of events and communicating relevant information to the court.

A decisive factor of a successful investigation is to provide a seamless information chain to all involved stakeholders, particularly those who do not have first-hand access to the scene.
