HORIZON

Horizon is a physical design concept that displays weather audio-visually. It creates awareness of the surrounding nature by bringing procedural soundscapes into the your home ambiance. Abstract visualisations, based on real-time weather data, are projected on the wall around Horizon.

Weather data is viewed daily by almost everyone in practical ways, like apps, tv forecasts etc. These mediums communicate weather in numerical data, which is efficient, but fails to convey the natural feeling of the weather situations. 

How can sound create awarness of our sourounding nature?

We used Wizard of Oz technique to define the sounds, together with the visual appearance of the interface in a quick, low-fi manner.
